<image:caption>Jazz/Lyrical/Multiform: This form of dance encompasses many varieties and styles, including traditional jazz, lyrical, musical theater, and contemporary jazz. Jazz denotes a form of dance that is free, expressive, where most technique is parallel rather than turned out, and upbeat in tempo. Jazz multiform: Multiform begins at level 4. It will encompass contemporary jazz, lyrical, and Broadway/musical theatre styles of the dance form. Dancers of a young and beginning/intermediate age and level (1-3 in level) need to learn the foundational building blocks of jazz, lyrical, and musical theater as their own focus. Once they get to the level 4 placement, dancers can begin to have multi-faceted classes that incorporate all forms. Contemporary Jazz: Contemporary Jazz is a blend of traditional jazz and modern movement employing more smooth, fluid motions as well as emotions to create an innovative and expressive performance artform.</image:caption>
